Unit G #10: Range of rational function

10.  While the domain of a rational function depends on DIVAH, what do you think the range of a rational function depends on?  Give an example.

Domain is the values of x, so range must be the values of y.  I think the range of a rational function depends on horizontal asymptote or slant asymptote because domain is depended on vertical asymptote and holes. (DIVAH= Domain is Vertical Asymptote and Holes).  So, if the range was depended on horizontal asymptote, the range would be set as y= ____ and then we write interval notation based on the number.  If the equation had a slant asymptote, then the y= mx+b would be the range of the rational function.
