Student Problem: Unit R Concept 1

• What is this problem about?
• This problem goes over Unit R Concept 1, exact values using sums or differences.  We must know how to identify sin, cos, tan, when given a fraction and from there we can plug in values to find exact values.
• What must the reader pay close attention to?
• The reader must pay attention to whether a value is negative or positive.  If the point we use is in quadrant 2, 3, or 4, we know that at least one of our points must be negative.
• The reader also must pay attention when looking for tangent.  Tangent is a little more difficult to find because it is a fraction, so we most likely have to rationalize, find common denominators, and use reciprocals to cancel out the denominator.
